Yes its expensive,although the peal vodka drink is the must have,the vibe is terrific,view tremendous and the people,watching ,the real reason for being here..been to many events here but not my first choice as a chill place for friends to chat

Incredible sushi! Very inventive flavor combinations. Their "press box" style sushi is unique and memorable, if not necessarily traditional, but traditional options are available and very good quality. Not the cheapest but great value considering the quality.

This restaurant offers amazing service and tasty food. My favourite spot around town. The food came out quick and the rates are inexpensive. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Amazing staff, chefs and food!!! What more can you ask for? Go inside and order a drink for your wait. Trust me, the wait is more than worth it! Look at my photos for the visual proof and you won't be disappointed.

Sooo.. tonight was supposed to be a night in. My SO and I were supposed to tackle the two pieces of steak that I had been defrosting for us in the fridge UNTIL I wasn't craving it anymore.. so we decided on some delish sushi instead. And that turned out to be the best decision I made today.

I visit this spot a lot since I work nearby. I like how their customer service is always good and they keep the place well kept all the time. Rates are affordable and they serve generous portions.

One the best sushi spots I have been to. Small spot with big flavors. Coconut Curry Mango Shrimp roll was amazing! Some of the freshest Salmon Sashimi and Press Box Rolls are good as well!

I like going their because l love the food, l know the workers I'm also the manager's son's friend! My dad is one of the chefs in the kitchen.

This place is amazing. The quality of the food, low prices, and excelent services. My top favorite place for Sushi. The trip to Atascadero is totally worth it!

Sushi is a consistent favorite for us, and Sakana ranks among our beat sushi experiences. Be prepared, however, to navigate an unusually large menu with occasionally bizarre innovations (generally involving jalapeños or habaneros). The press box roll (seared tuna, in our case) was interesting but not so impressive for a house specialty. The traditional sushi, however, was outstanding, and sitting at the sushi bar, we were able to have one of the chefs treat us to a quasi-omakase experience with him providing a number of excellent choices. A good sake list rounded out a great evening.

A fantastic little sushi restaurant tucked away. The speciality rolls were amazing, very fresh and unique. The assorted of wine and sake was long and the waitress was extremely helpful in picking the perfect sake. Don't forget desert! I would highly recommend this to any sushi lover.

We moved here from the south a couple of years ago. We find it incredible that there is a severe lack of quality sushi restaurants here. So, we had high hopes that Sakana would be the answer as the ratings are so high. We live close by so it would be bonus if it actually fit the bill. Unfortunately, it didn't. They have a habit of drenching things in sauces-pink, green- all colors and kinds. The rice is wet and falls apart. There are two items on the menu list over the bar that we order and are good ( basil, truffle?) But we have decided to stop giving it chances... we've been there about 5 times. The atmosphere is cramped and dark. The best part is very friendly service , they are really lovely people...that's why it's taken me so long to do this review.

This place simply knows how to treat their customers. Regularly with a friendly demeanor. The food is affordably priced, constantly delightful and neat.
